We used to frequent 110 Japan before they closed down and always sat with Jackie Chan. (No, seriously, that's what he wants to be called) We found out that he moved with the rest of the team to Takumi and on my most recent trip to NY, we paid him a visit. He probably doesn't remember us but he treats us like family. The food here is delish every single time! My love and I are like big kids every single time he does all his fire tricks. And ths Sake shots across the table?? Fuhgeddaboudit!!!! Haha. He gets us feeling right every time! I had the chicken with fried rice and veggies. My love had the chicken and shrimp and extra yummy sauce. All the employees here are great and being that ita attached to a mall, it still somehow feels like a stand-alone restaurant and easily accessible from the parking lot. The interior decorations are quite chic and subtle. Thank you guys for all your hard work. I'll be back on my next trip home.
A Perfect Birthday Celebration Ambiance: A Cleanliness: A Customer Service: A+++ Food: A Price/Value: A Ambiance and Cleanliness I love "swanky" places, especially when I'm celebrating something, and Takumi checks all the boxes. The restaurant is spacious and spotlessly clean. The hibachi seating is fantastic--big, cushioned chairs that are super comfortable. Customer Service The show was GREAT! Our chef was incredibly friendly and funny, making the experience so much fun. The sake he squirted into our mouths (which sounds way more R-rated than it actually was) was delicious, and he didn't skimp on it either! To top it off, they gave me the cutest pink, light-up crown to wear for my birthday, which added such a special touch. Food Everything from the soup and salad to the main meal was absolutely delicious. We started with gyoza (dumplings), which were tender and flavorful. I had the chicken and Angus steak combo with fried rice, and it was seasoned and cooked to perfection. The portions were generous--I honestly thought I'd need to be rolled out of the restaurant by the end! Price Even though it was my birthday, I got a quick peek at the check (my dad needed help calculating the tip, haha). For three people, including four alcoholic drinks, three appetizers, and our entrees (two of us had Angus steak combos, and the third had scallops and shrimp), the total was about $170 before tip. For everything we got, the price was incredibly reasonable. === Thank you for making my birthday unforgettable! I'll absolutely be back the first chance I get.
I love there food the rock shrimp the sushi and the dragon drink. Hibachi is amazing and my main man Chris is the guy there. Very nice man pleasant funny and down to earth. The ambiance is like a movie very big clean and family and if you're solo it's for everyone. I go there often and if you never you should. I recommend it!!
Still my favorite sushi spot. Sushi is always fresh. Great service and ambiance. Had a couple of red dragons and a sushi sashimi for one since I haven't had it for the longest.
Absolutely love Takumi. We order takeout for lunch every so often at the office and it is a hit every single time. The ginger dressing on the salad is probably the best I've ever had. The fish is consistently fresh. The miso soup is great. I've only ever gotten the lunch roll special but I'd love to try some sushi or sashimi. I can't speak to the ambiance as I've never stepped foot inside the place, but I would love to.
